Rediscovery of a traditional house: a Mediterranean oasis of peace on a Dalmatian island

The conceptual solution and the main project of the house in Pučišća on the island of Brač asked of us to follow the simple idea of ​​maximum respect of traditional architecture. This had to be done in such a way that the house adapts to today's lifestyle and includes everything that "a place to rest" means. The main goal of the design was to create several different micro-atmospheres by shaping different outdoor zones that complement each other functionally and aesthetically. The special feature of the house includes the discovery of a natural cave, after which the house got its name. The cave becomes a wine cellar, the well becomes a swimming pool, and the former barn is now a summer kitchen. Studio Brigada also participated in the project through branding and copywriting, horticulture design and consulting on interior and exterior elements.
